IT is with great excitement that I write to inform your readers of Ilfracombe Round Table's 60th Anniversary Charter Night.

Our charitable group has reached this landmark thanks to some amazingly dedicated characters who have lived in and around Ilfracombe over several decades. Their hard work, generosity and camaraderie has led to our wonderful club being in rude health.

Since 1952, Ilfracombe Round Table has raised money for worthy causes in the local area, and has lent a helping hand in many other ways.

We have always enjoyed making a difference in our community, as well as the fun and fellowship that this brings. It is also an honour for us to reach our 60th anniversary in the same year as The Queen, who we drink a toast to at every business meeting and event.

The 60th Anniversary Charter Night will be held on February 11 at the Landmark Theatre.

We would be delighted to hear from any ex-Round Tablers who would like to join us. It will be an evening to share memories from the past six decades and meet up with old friends, as well as to look forward to the prosperous future of the club.
