‘Harmful and dangerous’ prescription drugs stolen in Barnstaple burglary

A number of potentially harmful and dangerous prescription drugs have been stolen during a burglary in Barnstaple.

Police said the prescription drugs were stolen during a burglary at a house in Belmont road at some time between 12.30pm and 1pm on Friday.

Officers are warning members of the public of the potential dangers of these drugs.

The strong painkiller prescription drugs, which are in the form of patches, are potentially harmful and extremely dangerous in the wrong hands. They should not be attempted to be used.
