Pudsey Bear is back for this year's Children in Need fundraising extravaganza and there are plenty of activities taking place across North Devon to support the cause.
The annual televised BBC charity event takes place on Friday, and there’s plenty happening across the region which you can get involved in.

Funny faces competition:
Andy from Andy Casey Photography is organising his funny faces competition for the third year running.
On Friday, between 10am and 6pm, people of all ages are invited to the studio in Barnstaple to pull a funny face in front of the camera. The categories are funniest boy, funniest girl and funniest adult.
Andy said there are some good prizes up for grabs: “Prizes can be won from family portrait sittings to Big Sheep tickets and a meal for two and a bottle of wine for the adult winner courtesy of The Custom House.”
It will cost £5 to enter with all funds going to Children in Need.

Wishes:
Rotary Ilfracombe Compass Club is holding a Christmas tree wish on Friday at the Market Arches in the town. Children can fill in a card and attach it to the club’s Christmas tree. At their next meeting members will decide which child’s wish they can grant.

Acoustic concert:
The George Hotel in South Molton will be hosting an acoustic concert on Friday night at 8pm.
Musicians Ian Hudson, Dogleg, Chloe Bix, Alex Harrod, and Keith Chetwin will be performing.

Non-uniform day:
Specsavers staff in Bideford are holding a non-uniform day on Friday with all proceeds raised going to Children in Need. There will be a raffle to win a Specsavers voucher towards a new pair of glasses.

Ferret racing:
There will be ferret racing at lfracombe’s indoor market on Friday from 11am-2pm as well as Pudsey colouring activities for children.
