A number of roads across North Devon remain blocked or closed due to flooding today.

Heavy rain fell overnight on already saturated ground causing flooding to local roads and fields.

The A377 at Bishops Tawton remains blocked this morning due to flooding at Newbridge Cross. There are reports of cars getting stuck in the area and motorists are advised to approach with care or seek an alternative route where possible.

There is also flooding in Exebridge. The road is closed between the Exebridge junction and the Oldways End junction due to flooding.

There is set to be brief respite from the recent heavy rain which has caused problems across the county.

There are currently no weather warnings in place for North Devon until Friday.
