A388 to close for two weeks for £300,000 re-surfacing work

A road in North Devon will be closed for two weeks while essential maintenance work takes place.

The A388 will be closed between Stibbs Cross and Woodford Bridge between 6.30pm and 6.30am for a fortnight from Monday, February 20.

Work to take place includes structural repairs and re-surfacing of the road.

During this period, motorists travelling from Holsworthy will be diverted along the A3072 to Hatherleigh before joining the A386 to Torrington.

Motorists travelling from Torrington will take the A386 before joining the A3072 at Hatherleigh.

The road will re-open on Monday, March 5 but work will continue to be carried out and temporary traffic lights will be in place during the day.

The £300,000 scheme is being undertaken by Bardons on behalf of Devon County Council.

Work should be completed by Monday, March 19.
