A road in Barnstaple is expected to be closed for the rest of the day after a water main burst earlier this morning.

Abbey Road in Pilton is closed in both directions after the eight inch water main burst at around 10.15am.

A member of the public rang 999 and reported the incident at around 10.20am.

Those wishing to gain access to local primary schools are being advised to travel along Fair View.

    “4 very old men, 2 of whom are dead, were also seen crossing this road with suits and bare feet. They were arrested and taken to Forches Mental Asylum.”
