Admitted Christmas assault
THREE Bideford men have been sentenced for assaulting a man on Christmas Day.
Diamentino Pedro, 21, from Morwenna Park Road, Northam, Bilaal Hussain Yarde, 19, from Pannier Mews, Bideford, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Barnstaple Crown Court on Monday.
They all pleaded guilty to a joint charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on a man on Christmas Day in 2008 at Exeter Crown Court last month.
Pedro was given a two year conditional discharge.
Yarde was given a community order with unpaid work and a curfew for two months.
The teenager was handed a community order with six months supervision and unpaid work and a two month curfew order.
