ALYZON MAYOH took the honours as the race season started for North Devon Yacht Club.

The cobwebs were shaken off several catamarans for Saturday's race, sailed in a gusty force-three wind.

Mayoh was first home, closely followed by Geoff Mitchell and Anthony Gray.

Sunday's race saw 20 boats take to the water in an even stronger wind than the day before. The Sprint 15 race was won by former fleet captain Keith Heason, followed by new fleet captain Gray.

Dane Stanley managed to hold off a strong challenge from Annette Maddison on the line to take third place.
