Amazing courage of soldier Gregg
SOLDIER Gregg Stevenson is a living embodiment of the courage and sacrifice our service personnel are showing overseas on our behalf.
The 24-year-old plans to return to his regiment at RMB Chivenor just 12 months after losing both legs in an explosion while on a foot patrol in Afghanistan.
And incredibly, he could even be redeployed to Afghanistan later this year.
Gregg has also started driving again, taken up sports such as indoor rock climbing and even become a keen golfer.
He boldly states: "This year has definitely been quite an experience — a really positive one."
How fantastic he can look back in this way and the
Journal
salutes him. We also wish him well in his future endeavours — as we do every one of the personnel from Chivenor who are serving abroad.
