ANDREW LOOSEMORE is expected to be fit to captain Bideford in Saturday's Tribute Western Counties (west) match at Honiton.

The centre left the field with a shoulder injury after 48 minutes of the 57-12 win over Exeter Saracens at the weekend.

Loosemore missed almost the whole of last season with a damaged collarbone.

Kevin Booth, the Bideford coach, said: "It was a stinger to the shoulder and we were not willing to risk it.

"He was skippering brilliantly. He led the way and was running such good, straight, low lines.

"He goes in hard and that's probably why he gets injured quite a lot."

James Buckland suffered an elbow injury and Pete Hockridge was left with a cut near his eye after the win over Saracens.

Bideford will be without flanker Jamie Giddy (arm) and prop Paul Thomas (unavailable) at Honiton.
