Appealing for witness
POLICE investigating an armed robbery in Barnstaple have released CCTV images as part of an appeal for witnesses.
The alleged incident happened at Warren's bakery on Boutport Street around 4.30pm on Wednesday, December 5.
A man, who police believe was armed with a handgun, threatened the woman shopkeeper, aged in her mid-50s, before making off with more than £150 cash.
Barnstaple CID have released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the crime.

He is described as being white, aged between 25 and 40, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 11in and of stocky build.
Detective Inspector Praveen Naidoo of Barnstaple CID said: "The man, who was wearing distinctive clothing, fled the scene at a busy time of day so someone must have seen him.
"It is also likely that he will be known locally and will have spoken to a friend or partner about it.
"The incident was particularly upsetting and distressing for the female shop assistant and we are looking for a quick resolution."
On Friday, December 7 police arrested a 44-year-old man from Barnstaple on suspicion of robbery.
The man was released on police bail until December 14.
