Appledore book festival highlights on YouTube
EDITED highlights of Appledore Book Festival are available to watch on YouTube.
Former BBC cameraman and Bideford man Tony Koorlander has helped the author interviews and live performances from the festival be available for all on the website.
Mr Koorlander said: "I believe this is a unique approach to utilising the new High Definition video technologies available and that the Appledore Book Festival has achieved a world first in doing this. Those who were unable to get tickets to the venue can get a glimpse of the events and authors close up."
There are some 34 clips of the celebrities who took part in the event, including actor-writer Julian Fellowes; former MP and BBC reporter Martin Bell; and children's author Michael Morpurgo, who lives in North Devon.
The festival has attracted huge interest throughout the UK and more than 80,000 online viewers have watched Koorlander's footage of the Great Panjandrum event on Westward Ho! beach which marked the launch of the festival brochure in June.
