A NORTH Devon man and his three brothers will be dressed as knights in shining armour when they run the London Marathon.

Hamish Cameron, of Bideford, and his siblings are bidding to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Hamish will be joined by Angus, Dougal and Duncan.

They are running in memory of their dad, Alastair, who died from heart disease in 2004.

Hamish said: "My father received exceptional cardiac care during his two major heart bypass operations.

"As a result my family were wonderfully fortunate to have dad around for 15 more years — more than we thought possible.

"It is for this reason that we are hoping to raise more than £6,000 between us all, enabling others families to also have this opportunity."

The Camerons will be running the 26-mile event in a full suit of armour each, which one of the brothers is moulding himself as he is a professional artist.

To supplement his training, Hamish completed last week's Bideford Half Marathon in full armour while carrying a balloon.

If you would like to sponsor the brothers then visit www.justgiving.com/hamishcameron.

They also have a website www.knightrunners.org.
