Barnstaple’s Jessops store set to be closed down
Barnstaple’s Jessops store could cease trading as early as today following confirmation from administrators that all stores would be closed down.
A total of 1,370 jobs will be lost across the country after administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) announced plans to close the 187 stores.

Barnstaple's store, which is situated in the High Street, currently employs five people.
Other affected stores in Devon include shops in Exeter and Torquay.

Administrators said further job losses were likely at the group’s head office in Leicester.
Jessops went into administration yesterday and has stopped accepting online sales and gift vouchers.
The process of shutting the 187-store network was said to be starting as early as the close of business yesterday.
