Barnstaple Colts backs key to win over Torquay
THE BACK LINE made up for a rare stuttering performance from the Barnstaple Colts forwards in a 27-10 win at Torquay Athletic.
The victory took Barum into third place in the Devon Colts Merit Table Cup standings.
Full back Iwan Williams scored two tries, the second converted by Calum Sumners, to put Barnstaple 12-0 up at half time against the run of play.
They had no answer to the home pack's pick-and-drive game and were pegged back to 12-10 before Sumners kicked a penalty and converted tries by Jake Meredith and Quinten John.
