Barnstaple boxer Brandon Maddock makes his mark in Plymouth
BRANDON MADDOCK, of Barnstaple ABC, showed his potential at the Mayflower dinner show in Plymouth.
In only his second contest, the Barum newcomer took on Ryan Reynolds, from the host club.

Southpaw Reynolds had the edge in the first two rounds and, despite winning the third, Maddock missed out on a narrow unanimous decision.
Mitch Turner, of Barnstaple, made the trip to Portland to take part in a skills bout with Kyle Davis.

With both boxers getting stuck in, the referee had to step in to calm them down.
After an enjoyable first contest, the pair are likely to meet again in a competitive bout.
