Barnstaple branch of Blockbusters will not be closed down

Barnstaple's Blockbuster store on North Walk
And within days Deloitte announced 129 of the chain's stores will be closed down in the next few weeks.

Joint administrator Lee Manning said: "Having reviewed the portfolio with management, the store closure plan is an inevitable consequence of having to restructure the company to a profitable core which is capable of being sold.
"We would like to thank the company's employees for their support and professionalism during this difficult time. We are also grateful to the customers for their continued support."
Staff at the Barnstaple branch were unable to comment on the news.
Blockbuster's collapse came just a day after HMV went into administration, putting more than 4,000 jobs at risk.
And photographic retailer Jessops closed all of its 187 stores, including one in Barnstaple, earlier this month after major financial problems.
