Barnstaple lose at Brixham in National League Three
BARNSTAPLE were beaten for the second week running in National Three south west, losing 28-3 at Brixham.
And for the second week running, following the defeat at Weston-super-Mare, they paid for a dreadful start.
Tries by Harry Davis, Kyle Browne and Matt Clarke, with two penalties and a conversion from Ben Lovell, put Brixham into a 23-0 lead.
Josh Squire kicked Barnstaple's points from a penalty just before half time.

Bideford suffered their first defeat of the Tribute Western Counties (west) season in a high-scoring match at Ivybridge.
Their five-match winning streak was ended as they lost 33-31, throwing away a 31-10 half-time lead.
Bideford remain second in the table but are now four points behind leaders St Austell who kept their 100 per cent record with a 41-31 win over Torquay Athletic.
Bude earned a bonus point from their 16-14 defeat at Honiton.
Torrington are celebrating their first win in Devon One, scoring three tries to beat Salcombe 27-12 at Donnacroft.
The hosts led 10-9 at half time with a try by Charlie Bazell and a conversion and penalty by Nick Evans.
Craig Hooper's try in the first minute of the second half, converted by Evans, put Torrington in control.
They made the game safe when Blaine Quinlan crossed from a tap penalty and Evans again converted.
Salcombe's points came from four penalties by Chris Drew.
South Molton made it two wins out of two with a 23-13 away victory over Topsham. Molton had tries from Dan Smith and Reece Andrews, a penalty try and two penalties and a conversion from Steve Ayre.
Ilfracombe won 34-13 at Buckfastleigh Ramblers – their first victory in Devon Two this season.
