BARNSTAPLE Sirens lost 9-1 to Devon Ladies League leaders Devonport at the Plymouth Life Centre.
Stephanie Foster scored Barnstaple's goal from a long lob shot in the first quarter.
Mandy Greening made some brilliant saves, while Christine Gardner and Heather Matthews struck the Devonport goal frame four times. Flo Moore made her debut for the Sirens and, along with fellow junior Millie Wordley, played well against senior opposition.
