Barnstaple man charged and two people arrested in connection with armed robbery at Knowle
A Barnstaple man has been charged with robbery and two others have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at Knowle Garage near Braunton.
A 27-year-old man, named by police as Jamie Lee Latta, has been charged with robbery in connection with the incident at Knowle Garage on Saturday, November 10. He was arrested in Barnstaple on Friday afternoon and remanded in custody. He was due to appear at North Devon Magistrates’ Court today.
He has also been charged with an unrelated theft, an assault and breaching a molestation order.
Devon and Cornwall Police said a 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from the North Devon area, were also arrested in connection with the armed robbery at Knowle. They were arrested near Worcester on Saturday evening and taken to Barnstaple Police Station for questioning.

They remained in police custody until Sunday evening when they were released on police bail pending further investigation.
The arrests come a week after the incident at Knowle Garage in which grandmother Trude Mian was allegedly threatened with a meat cleaver and kitchen knife. Following the incident in which £50 cash was stolen from the till, she was left shaken but unharmed.
