Barnstaple scrum half Ben Vellacott plays in Scotland under-18 win
Ben Vellacott started at scrum half for Scotland as they beat Ireland 25-0 in an under-18 international at Hamilton this afternoon.
The 17-year-old Barnstaple player, from Mortehoe, had a hand in Scotland's second try, which came from a lineout on Ireland's five-metre line and was scored by Lewis Carmichael.

Neil Irvine-Hess also crossed as Scotland led 14-0 at half time. Carmichael scored again in the second half and Gavin Lowe finished with two conversions and two penalties.
Vellacott will now hope for selection in the Scotland squad for the European Under-18 Championship in France, starting on March 22.
