A NINTH win in a row for Barnstaple Under-14s saw them through to the Devon Plate semi-finals.

James Newman scored two tries in the 17-5 win over Plymouth's Stonehouse Sharks.

Having fallen behind, Barum struck back with a try by Kieron Morgan before sealing the win through Newman. Liam Ellis added a conversion.

Newman and Eliot Howard were joint men of the match.

Barnstaple Under-16s drew 29-29 against Crediton.

After a good start, with tries from James Reeves and Lloyd Chugg, one converted by Pat Sanders, Barum allowing the Crediton pack to control possession and they pegged them back to 12-10. Sam Willougby and Linford Brock added further tries for Barum, both converted by Sanders, who also added a penalty.

Barnstaple Under-15s saved their poorest performance of the season for their biggest game, going down 17-0 to Ivybridge.

Barum's under-13s stormed to a 67-0 win over Bude with tries by Sam Roberts, Nat Bayet, Caolin Miller, Brad Campbell, Bailey Miles, Tom Karslake, Ross Clayton and Nick Harris.

In a mini-tournament against Chinnor, Barnstaple Under-12s had two wins and a defeat.

Rob Squires scored a try, converted by William Knill, in a 35-7 defeat to Chinnor A.

Barum fought back from 28-7 down to beat Chinnor B 42-35 with tries from Alfie Pennyfield, Knill, Henry Watkins, Alex Lomas, Squires and Austin White, all converted by Knill.

Against Chinnor C, Barum were clear 56-7 winners. Squires (four), Knill, Watkins and Lomas got the tries, all converted by Knill.

Chinnor also took on the under-11s. After the visitors' B team beat a combined South Molton and Barnstaple team two tries to nil, the first teams drew 1-1. Blake Simpson touched down for Barum.

In the third game, Barnstaple were 3-1 winners with tries from Billy Pennyfield and Nathan Fouche (two). Joe Anderson was man of the match.

South Molton Under-15s overwhelmed Torrington 68-0.

They ran in 12 tries scored by Bradley Drew (three), Dom Thorne (two), George Leach (two), Joe Andrews, Will Falkiner, Sam Holton, Ben Powell and Andrew Worsley. Thorne kicked four conversions.

Leach was South Molton's man of the match, while Torrie picked out Shane Roach and Ashley Goodhead.
