I AM very pleased indeed to have learnt that hopes and dreams are turning into reality in relation to the launch of the Ilfracombe Ferry.

Congratulations to the team behind this, something which can only be of benefit to North Devon.

I wish the ferry all the success and hope that I shall be able to help in terms of promoting North Devon to the large areas around the ports the ferry will visit, so that we can enjoy maximum benefit from visitors here — as well as "exporting" our industry and business to them as well.

Let us all make sure we are as ready as possible and that the first impressions these visitors receive when they disembark is a really positive one of its people and all that North Devon can offer!
