BETH ELLIS struck twice as Bideford won 3-1 at Budleigh Bicton Robins in the Devon Women's League.

Playing only their second league game since November 18, Bideford looked shaky.

They eventually began creating chances with Tracey Cross and Caroline Parsons both hitting the goal frame.

Ellis finally broke through early in the second half, controlling a lob from Cross to fire home.

A second goal soon followed with player of the match Cross running into the box and finishing with an outstanding strike.

Ria Penfold had a goal ruled out for offside before Budleigh got back in the game with ten minutes to go when Bideford substitute Vicky Buckland, on her debut, was unfortunate to put an attempted clearance into her own net.

Ellis made the points safe when she showed pace and determination to net her second.
