In the second half, Sandercombe had to push wide a volley from Ian Oliver and Josh Casey dragged a shot off target for the visitors.
Bideford sent on substitutes Matt Bye, Jack Furzer and Ben Wood in an attempt to find a winning goal in the closing stages.
Sean Downing went close with a shot across the face of goal and, in stoppage time, Bye's powerful shot was tipped over by Stewart Kearn.
Bideford remain in 15th place in the premier division, 11 points above the bottom two, while Bashley are one place below them and four points behind with a game in hand.
On Tuesday, Bideford travel to Torquay United for the semi-final of the Devon St Luke's Cup.
