The junior 15 girls – Abby Jones, Libbie Willis, Jess Cox and Abby Lawson, again coxed by Abbie Dunn – won their race in 7-41, 17 seconds ahead of Reds B's Kirsty Snow, Beth Gayson, Shannon Mongahan and Charlotte Berry in second.
Over a 5,000-metre course, the Reds veterans – Ali Peake, Dave Godfrey, Dave Powe, Dave Bates and cox Keeley Mills – missed out on a medal in the first division by just ten seconds. But their time of 21-10 was good enough to win the second division in their class.
This weekend, the veterans will be among 220 crews in the National Veteran Fours Head, held on the Thames.
