Bideford boosted by defeat for Western Counties leaders St Austell

BIDEFORD have reason to celebrate this evening despite their match being postponed.

In one of the four Tribute Western Counties (west) fixtures to be played, leaders St Austell lost 20-15 at Penryn.

St Austell's losing bonus point means they are now nine points clear of second-placed Bideford but the North Devon side have a game in hand.

Bideford match at Honiton was postponed yesterday. They are due to host Ivybridge next Saturday.

Bude got their first win in five attempts, 29-19 away to Exeter Saracens. The victory takes Bude out of the bottom three, above Saracens.

Torrington's home game against Plymstock Albion Oaks in Devon One and the Devon Two match between Tamar Saracens and Ilfracombe were postponed.
