DAVE CLARK celebrated his 48th birthday by scoring for Black Torrington in the Hodgson Insurance Kingsley League.

Making a rare substitute appearance, he sprinted 40 yards to finish a counter-attack as the champions beat Bridgerule 3-1.

Todd Peschke put the visitors ahead before Black Torrie tuned the tables through Dan Andrew and a late penalty from John O'Donoghue.

Morwenstow and Bradworthy both had to settle for draws after leading 2-0.

Lee Gilbert and Ali Tithecott fired the Greens ahead at Lifton and they hung on for a point against the league's third-placed team.

Two goals from Jason Jones, direct from a corner, and from a free-kick, put Brad in control at Week St Mary but they paid for some wayward finishing from player-boss Richard Hudson.

In the Pickard Cup, Dan Bowden netted twice with his head as Holsworthy thumped Bridgerule 4-0. Lee Clarke (penalty) and a cheeky back-heel from Ashley Parker eased the Magpies into the semi-finals.
