Journal League champions Boca Seniors returned to winning ways with a 2-0 triumph at old rivals Shamwickshire Rovers this afternoon.

After last week's defeat to Torridgeside, the trip to Pollyfield took on even greater importance for the defending champions.

And Darren Todd's team responded with a hard-earned win to move up to seventh.

Braunton's 100% start to the season was ended with a 3-1 defeat at Bradworthy in an injury-delayed game.

A long-range screamer from Michael Sampson gave Brad the lead and they wrapped things up with a brace from Craig Darby.

The visitors went in level at the break, but their second half was marred by a leg injury to Darryl Reed and an ambulance was called.

Barnstaple AAC gained their first win in dramatic style when Andy Sanders (pen), Scott Sharp and Greg Holland inspired a fight back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Torridgeside.
