Bonus-point win takes Bideford to the top of Western Counties table
Bideford charged to the top of the Tribute Western Counties (west) table with a 36-13 win at Honiton.
Needing a bonus-point win in their game in hand to overhaul previous leaders St Austell, Bideford took control with a hat-trick of tries by Simon Bright.

They now sit a point clear of the Cornish side, who they meet on March 9, and are 11 points ahead of Torquay Athletic, in third place, who lost 31-15 at Devonport Services.
Bright, the No 8, set the ball rolling with Bideford's first three tries, all from pushovers. Pat Sanders converted all three and added a penalty for a 24-3 lead.

Chris Snell and Adam Crouch then crossed for tries, which were converted by Sanders, before Honiton, the division's bottom side, posted two scores of their own.
Torrington are out of the bottom two in Devon One after an 8-5 home win over Plymstock Albion Oaks. The visitors' losing bonus point was enough to take them above South Molton into second place.
In the only Devon Two game played today, Ilfracombe lost 8-0 away to struggling Tamar Saracens.
