Book characters come to life on special day
MR INCREDIBLE, Shrek and Little Red Riding Hood joined in classes across Torridge on Thursday to celebrate World Book Day.
Pupils from across the district went to school dressed up as characters from their favourite book.

Among the Torridgeside schools that joined in the day were Winkleigh, Exbourne, Clovelly, Pyworthy, Holsworthy, and Torrington Juniors. Budehaven Community School students hosted a Mad Hatter's Tea Party and in Holsworthy, pupils from the town's primary school visited the community college to meet local author Tanya Landman.
World Book Day is a celebration of reading that is marked in more than 100 countries across the world.
It has been designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration and aims to encourage children to read.
