A TEAM of 14 boxers and officials from Combe Martin ABC took part in the Torbay Royal Regatta 10k.

Raising £400 in sponsorship for Guide Dogs For The Blind, the group were among a field of 586 runners taking part in torrential rain.

Mark Peach was first of the boxers home, completing the course in 40-57, with Carl Jenkins clocking 43-42, and Tom Herd 45-58.

Combe Martin's first show of the season is at Stowford Holiday Camp on October 16 when the line-up of local boxers is expected to include Valentin Bumbul. To order tickets, call 07716 126390 or 07792 129933.
