Bronya Pike enjoys clean sweep in North Devon Junior Badminton Open
BADMINTON
BRONYA PIKE enjoyed a clean sweep of victories as the under-11 and under-15s took their turn on day two of the North Devon Junior Open.
Pike, from Crediton and a member of the Devon team, won the under-15 girls' singles, doubles with Anya Paton, and mixed doubles with Lloyd Skinner.
Skinner, also from Crediton, won the open singles at the North Devon Leisure Centre, in Barnstaple, on Saturday.Jamie Dawe and Callum Parker won the doubles.

Rory Curtis beat Will Mulligan to win the under-15 boys' singles and doubles titles.
The Butler family travelled from Buckinghamshire to win titles in the under-11 open section.
Eleanor Butler won the girls' singles by 20 points from Devon player Learna Herkes. She also won the girls' doubles, with Cornwall's Charlotte Freer, and the mixed with her brother Oliver who lost the boys' singles final to Daniel Conway.
Daniel added the doubles title with his Devon team-mate Cameron Hollingsworth.
Halwill players William Elston and Sam Jago were beaten 15-14 by Ryan Waters and Freddie Smith in a tense under-11 novice boys' doubles final.
William's sister Lissy triumphed by two points from her club-mate Maddie Fowler in the girls' singles. The boys' singles title went to Fraser Moran.
Over the two days, nearly 150 players took part. The tournament was sponsored by Matrix Print and Design, Philip J Milton, Tyme Restaurant and Jackson Trophies.
