BUDE TOWN reserves are through to the Cornwall Junior Cup eastern division final.

A 4-1 win at Grampound booked a meeting with St Austell, of the Duchy League premier division.

Steve Smeeth put Bude ahead with a penalty and Steve Hackett added the second after Smeeth and Andy Heywood combined on the counter attack.

Grampound pulled one back but James Giordani headed in a free kick from Jordan White and Smeeth hit the fourth from a ball over the top by White.

With wins over Premier Sixes, Sticker, Biscovey and Altarnon, the competition has brought the best out of Bude.

In the Cornish Guardian East Cornwall League premier division, Bude's first team dropped two points against Tavistock.

Leading twice with goals from Billy Hopcroft and Wes Pugh, they were punished for missed chances as the visitors grabbed a late equaliser.
