Car veers off A39 and rolls down 100ft embankment near Parracombe
A car veered off the A39 and plummeted 100ft down an embankment near Parracombe on Sunday.
The male driver was lucky to escape unscathed after his silver Mitsubishi Shogun, which is registered to an address in Ilfracombe, left the road and rolled down an embankment.

Police, fire and ambulance were called to the scene between Blackmoor Gate and Churchtown, near Parracombe, at around 1.30pm.
The driver was initially complaining of chest injuries and is believed to have been taken to North Devon District Hospital to be checked over. However Devon and Cornwall Police later confirmed the man sustained no injuries.

Fire crews from Lynton and Combe Martin attended, along with the special rescue unit from Middlemoor and the rescue tender from Barnstaple.
Firefighters used a rescue line and small tools to free the man before helping highways crews recover the car.
