A MUM from North Devon is running the marathon in aid of the charity which supports the Armed Forces.

Carri Evans, 42, will be trying to raise money for the Royal British Legion through her place in the London Marathon.

Carri works as a reservations consultant for Marsdens Cottage Holidays based in Braunton.

She is married to Eldon and has three children.

She said: "This is my first ever marathon and it is going to be a task and a half.

"I am a member of the Legion though I have not served in the forces, However most of my family have a military background and I want to make people aware of all the work that they do for our Armed Forces and their families."
