Charlie Burt wants Tiverton to win next three games
CHARLIE Burt has set his Tiverton side the task of winning their next three games in a bid to put pressure on the top three teams in the Cornwall & Devon League.
Tivvy's game at home to Crediton on Saturday was called off to due the weather, but it has been rescheduled for this Saturday.
After that Tivvy face an away trip to Falmouth before a home match against Liskeard-Looe. With Liskeard currently occupying bottom spot in the table, having won only two games this season, and Crediton and Falmouth both struggling, Burt believes the next three games represent a good chance for them to catch up with the league leaders.
"It is a good chance to put pressure on the top three," he said. "We ought to be looking at winning all three games, but you can never tell.

"The conditions of the pitch will make a big difference (against Crediton). They have got a big pack so we are going to have to be on the top of our game and play to the conditions.
"However, if we can win all three games, I don't think St Ives are going to trip up at all, but the sides like Saltash and Teignmouth (might).
"We have got to play each game week by week and win as many as possible and build up for the new year."
Burt added that he is hopeful that a few players may return from injury for Saturday's game against Crediton having had an extra week's rest.
"I'm hopeful," said Burt. "We still have one or two with long-term injuries having put shoulders out of joint or suffered knee ligament damage.
"However, we will just see how this week goes. We pick the best side for each game based on the best 15 or 18 players who are available."
Tiverton seconds were beaten 16-5 by Torquay seconds in the Devon Merit Table match on Saturday.
Tivvy put up a spirited display, with Nobby Clarke getting their only try, but Torquay secured the victory.
