Children take part in Tarka Tennis school competitions

TWO hundred children have been playing for their primary schools in the winter schools competitions at the Tarka Tennis Centre in Barnstaple.
Goodleigh A and B were the Year 2 winners, Landkey won the competition for Years 3 and 4, and Woolacombe won in Years 5 and 6.
Chris Gill, Tarka's director of tennis, said: "This is the first time we have run a winter competition programme and it is great to see so many children keen to play tennis. In total we will have had around 700 schoolchildren play matches in various age groups this year."
