Volunteers from the Children's Hospice South West will be collecting unwanted Christmas presents in Green Lanes shopping centre in Barnstaple this week.

Studies show only one in ten people appreciate the gifts they receive at Christmas and with that in mind the volunteers will be collecting unwanted gifts which will then be sold in the charity's shops or used as a raffle prize, to raise money for the charity.

To help your unwanted presents find a new home, deliver them to the shopping centre between 11am and 1pm today, tomorrow, Friday or Saturday.

Community Fundraiser Emma Perry said: "We will take anything from books to bags and clothing to toys.
