Children's nursery project
A FORMER Torrington community centre could be turned into a children's nursery.
Plans for the grade two listed Eric Palmer Centre have been submitted to Torridge District Council by applicant Mike Bridgeman.
The Eric Palmer Centre was boarded up after the Denys Yonge Trust could no longer afford its upkeep.
It went under the hammer in September and was sold to a local businessman for £205,000.
The building, behind the town's Pannier Market, is believed to be around 175 years old.
