DAVID and Goliath will be in action at Combe Martin ABC's boxing show on Saturday night.

The 15-bout extravaganza at Combe Martin Willage Hall is set to feature the smallest and largest talents from the club.

Eleven-year-old David Slade faces Paignton's George Bedford in the opening bout of the evening.

And the considerably bulkier Valentin Bumbul tops the bill in a crusierweight clash with Launceston's Ross Chard. Combe Martin coach Lloyd Chappell said: "Everybody in the gym has nicknamed the pair David and Goliath."

Hosting their second show since reforming in 2008, Chappell says the club is looking forward to a fantastic evening.

Other highlights include derbies between Alex Dovell and Ilfracombe ABC's Noel Grummett, plus Reece Hale taking on Bideford's Kyle England.

Doors open at 7pm and the boxing starts at 8pm. A small number of tickets may still be available. For more information call Louise on 07902 877887 or Peggy on 07716 126390.
