Firefighters dealt with a cooker fire at a property in Bampton on Saturday.

One appliance from Bampton and two from Tiverton attended the property in Frog Street at around 2.40pm.

Upon arrival, crews confirmed a small fire involving a cooker in the kitchen area of the two-storey terraced property.

Firefighters utilised ladders for access and extinguished the fire before using small tools to make the cooker safe.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
