Council hands out grants totalling more than £5,000 to Ilfracombe community projects
ILFRACOMBE Town Council has awarded more than £5,000 in small grants to community organisations.
Slade Valley Youth Club was given £500 towards youth projects while Ilfracombe Girl Guides have received £200 towards outdoor activities such as high ropes, climbing and coasteering.

Ilfracombe District Tourism Association received £300 towards the costs of music for the summer season and Ilfracombe Museum was given £300 to fund four free play days.
Grants were also awarded to Brookdale Church, the Baptist Church, St Peter’s Church, the Christian Fellowship St John Ambulance, Homestart, the Salvation Army, North Devon’s Memory Cafe, Ilfracombe Access Group, Ilfracombe Junior School, Ilfracombe Stroke Group and the TLC Community Shop and Van.
