Crafting event is back by popular demand
NEEDLE FELTING, printing and ceramics are just some of things you can have a go at, when Craftacular Craftacular, Barnstaple's biggest crafting event, returns to Lilico's.
The last event, which took place in March, was so popular among local crafty folk that organiser Tracey Benton from Atelier Contemporary Craft Gallery has decided to run it again.
"The idea for Craftacular Craftacular was to offer bite-sized crafting workshops in a relaxed and social setting," she said. "It's a chance for people who love making things to work with local artists and makers and have a go at creating something different.
"We had more than 90 people turn up last time, all itching for some crafting action, washed down with a glass of wine and some tasty tapas. The following day I had people pop into the gallery asking when the next would be, so Craftacular Craftacular is back by popular demand."

Throughout the evening there will be make-stations dotted around Lilico's bar and restaurant areas. Participants can take part in two hour-long make-and-take projects. These include printing your own canvas shopper, needle felting, origami gift boxes, ceramic brooches, textile jewellery or textile wall art.
"It's an extremely popular event so booking your ticket early is advisable," added Tracey. "To make sure you don't miss out on your favourite workshop you can also book those in advance too."
The event runs from 6.30pm to 9pm on Wednesday, July 13. Tickets: £10 in advance or £12 on the door and are available from Atelier on Tuly Street (opposite the Barnstaple library) or via the Atelier website: www.gallery-atelier.co.uk
