Craig Overton played as England Lions lost the first one-day international against Australia A in Hobart, Tasmania, today.

Varun Chopra scored 105 as England posted 259 for six off their 50 overs at the Bellerive Oval.

But 100 from Shaun Marsh and 80 by Aaron Finch saw Australia to a seven-wicket win with five balls remaining.

Overton, the 18-year-old Somerset and North Devon all-rounder from Northam, scored an unbeaten nine off five balls, batting at No 8. He then bowled nine overs for 36 runs.
