A MAN who was found dead below a bridge in Bideford has been named as David Thorne of Barnstaple.

The 74-year-old was found in the road beneath the Torridge Bridge early in the morning on August 16.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have said there are no suspicious circumstances.

His funeral will be held at the North Devon Crematorium on August 27.
