Delivering a real message
IN his column last week (
Journal
, March 4, Bideford edition), Peter Christie mentioned that he had started to receive Liberal Democrat literature, and was concerned with the profligate use of volunteer deliverers.
I quite agree Peter. I delivered most of those leaflets you received, and I am fed up with having sore feet every evening!
The serious message is that the Lib Dems are a grass-roots organisation which depends on volunteers to get the message out. We cannot buy full-page colour adverts in the local press (NDJ March 4, Page 10) to advertise our wares.

Lib Dem Prospective MP for Torridge and West Devon.

“I note that Peter via his weekly collumn has much to say about Bideford yet appears to treat East of Water with more than a little contempt as if its somehow on another planet.. Might I request therefore that the editor remind this colomnist to be rather less partial about the Bideford he claims to love.”
