Diehards are off the mark
LIBERAL DIEHARDS got their first win of the North Devon Summer League season.
Steve Jordan and Selwyn Raymont scored a double each during a 5-1 win over Spurs in the first division.
Penny Blacks and Magnets remain unbeaten. John Selby played a captain's role for Penny Blacks, taking a pair, including the last frame, in a draw with Pot Black, the new leaders.
Chris Maddocks had a double for Magnets but, in a seesaw match, Mike Ford took the last frame to earn a draw for Pool Players.
In the second division, a double from Shaun Gifford gave leaders Liberal Aces a 4-2 win over Liberal Super Pussys. In one frame, Andy Coles knocked in a break of 43, only for John White to respond with 53 and earn one of Pussys' two points.
Maurice Draper and his grandson, Robert Draper, had a brace each in Seasiders' first win, 5-1 against Con Cues.
Sid Warren had a double for South Molton Con during their 4-2 win over Beach Boys.
