Enjoy a night under the stars on Exmoor
STARGAZERS are invited to an event on Exmoor to celebrate the fact it is among the best places in Europe to study the night sky.
A star party will be held at Wimbleball Lake, near Dulverton, to mark a year since it was designated as the first Dark Skies Discovery Site across the landscape.
South West Lakes Trust and Exmoor National Park will host the event on Saturday which will feature activities for the entire family – including talks, presentations and guided walks along the Star Trail.
Alex Forster, a manager for the South West Lakes Trust, said: "We are proud to host the first birthday party of the dark skies discovery site. Wimbleball is an excellent location for star gazing, and this event will provide lots to see and do for all the family, whatever the weather."
