EXBOURNE History Group is to host an exhibition tracing village history and that of some of its older buildings.

The Exbourne Local History Group exhibition, supported by English Heritage, is on Saturday, September 11, in the village hall.

There will also be a guided tour of the village, in which the forgotten history of some buildings will be revealed.

The free entry exhibition will be opened at 2pm by the Mayor and Mayoress of West Devon Borough Council, Councillor and Mrs John Hockridge. Research done by the history group into village buildings and organisations will be on view and will include old photographs and memorabilia.

The tour starts at 3pm and Devon cream teas will be available throughout the afternoon. The Red Lion Pub will be open for food.
